Lake Compounce Theme Park

With overcast skies it looked as if it might be a washout; instead, our union picnic turned out great! An occasional brief appearance by the sun kept the weather comfortable for traipsing around Lake Compounce where Local 571 T-shirts were visible scattered throughout the park.

A hit with many people was the new attraction, Down Time, a kind of drop and bounce attraction that drew long lines of thrill seekers. Then there were the many popular water features that appeal to both the young and the young at heart. Add to that the other rides, slides, and features of the park along with the delicious food ordered up by the union, and the outcome was a fun-filled day for all. Many thanks to our Local 571 officers and the Recreation Committee in arranging this pleasurable union summer event.
