FAMILY PICNIC 2002
Saturday, July 13, 2002 Saturday, July 13th turned out to be another great day for a family picnic at Lake Compounce. Recreation Chairman Paul Losacano did a super job of ordering up some pleasant summer weather for this annual event and many of us came out with our families to enjoy it. Considering normal prices at theme parks, this was an opportunity to treat the family at bargain prices to a full day's worth of fun for all ages. In the pavilion area the face painter was kept busy by little people while families helped themselves to delicious food at the all-you-can-eat barbecue. Then young and old alike headed for their favorite attractions - wet or dry! There was no shortage of kiddy rides, sky rides, boat rides, flumes, chutes, raft rides, roller coasters, and the like to send people gyrating or leave them drenched and howling with delight! It was a fun-filled union event and one that we will happily anticipate returning to next year.
