Lake Compounce Theme Park

It's a great place to come together and play - solidarity, just for the fun of it!  Lake Compounce outfitted us with the trappings for our annual Local 571 picnic this year, and over 600 union members and their families came to make use of them.  At the all-you-can-eat barbecue in the pavilion area, union officers gave our members caps that were promptly commandeered by the next generation of union members.

It was  warm, pleasant day and no one seemed to mind the drenching undertaken on some of the water rides in the park.  Kids kept the face painter busy and got to enjoy the rides alongside their parents or grandparents.  It was an enjoyable union event, and one that we will happily anticipate returning to next year.  Many thanks to Recreation Chairman, Paul Losacano, for all his hard work in making it happen.
