2001 HOLIDAY DINNER DANCE
December 1, 2001 It was a first peek at the newly-opened Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa for many of our dinner-dance partygoers on Saturday, December 1, 2001. The elegant, spacious setting of the ballroom easily accommodated all 714 of our members and guests for dinner. Making your way through the merry revelers to the hors d'oeuvres and bar areas was a bit more challenging - size being a definite advantage!
After dinner Sugar Daddy magnetically drew people to the dance floor which filled right up and pretty much stayed that way for most of the night. Dancers appeared to have endless stores of energy to unload. Strolling about the lobby of this grand facility one quickly realized that we were not the only ones there celebrating the holidays. Partygoers spilled out of other ballrooms sometimes chatting with people they knew in the hallways and intermingling with other guests.
The success of the night was a result of the combined efforts of Recreation Chairman Paul Losacano, his committee, and our union's executive officers who worked to put it together for the union membership. Thanks guys, it was a great party!
