34th UAW Constitutional Convention June
12-15, 2006 The 34th UAW Constitutional Convention was held June 12-15 in Las Vegas. One thousand, four hundred delegates elected the new leadership team and set the policies needed to take on the huge challenges facing America’s workers over the next four years. Delegates approved $60 million for organizing and special projects. This authorization will enable locals to receive a greater share of dues dollars. Delegates also approved giving the union more flexibility in communications with the membership. In our region we now have Bob Madore as our new Regional Director.
